Will my server get suspended if I don't pay on time?

Yes, we suspend all services 2 days after their due date if no payment has been received. If you think you will miss a payment then contact us prior to your due date and we may be able to extend this period.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Paypal, Debit/Credit Card, Alipay, Bitcoin (and altcoins) and Bank Transfer (US/EU).

When was Spartan Host formed?

Spartan Host was formed on the 1st May 2013.

Do you offer an affiliate program?

Will my VPS be instantly provisioned?

Yes, all our VPS's are instantly provisioned providing that you pass the automated fraud checks.

What control panel do you use?

We use Virtualizor.

Do you offer any DDoS protection?

Is it possible to upgrade my VPS at any time?

Yes, you can upgrade your VPS at any time via the client area, more information here. We do not generally offer custom plans however if it's a large request then contact us for pricing.

Can I use a custom ISO or OS?

Yes, you can upload up to 2 ISOs and a maximum size of 3GB total, within our control panel, Virtualizor.

What happens if I exceed my transfer/bandwidth limit?

Your VPS's port speed will be rate limited to 5Mb/s unmetered until the start of your next billing period when the rate limit will be automatically lifted.

How long does it take for a dedicated server to be setup?

Setup times vary from 24 hours to 7 working days depending on the server model, refer to here for setup times of specific models or contact us to confirm.

Do you offer power port reboot, automatic OS installation and KVM access?

Yes, we provide a system in the client area to reboot the power port of your server and install an OS from a wide range including Linux and Windows, automatically. KVM access is provided for most server models via IPMI.

Are you a reseller?

No, we own all of the equipment in our racks.

Can I use a custom ISO or OS?

Yes, you can mount an ISO via your server's IPMI virtual media.

How long does it take for colocation to be setup?

Setup is usually within 24 hours of receiving a server however please contact us prior to ordering to receive an estimate.

Do you offer power port reboot, automatic OS installation and KVM access?

Yes, we provide a system in the client area to reboot the power port of your server and install an OS from a wide range including Linux and Windows, automatically. KVM access is provided for most server models via IPMI.

Do you offer a port for dedicated IPMI management?

Yes, we can offer a dedicated port for IPMI management which is accessible via a VPN connection for increased security.

What 1 click install modpacks and jars do you support?

You can view the 1 click install modpacks and jars we support here.

Do you support custom jars?

We provide customers with a wide range of jars and modpacks (which can be seen in the question above) to select from but if we do not provide the jar you would like to use then you may use a custom jar by following this guide.

What kind of control panel am I provided with for my server?

We use the most efficient minecraft server control panel out there, Multicraft! Click here for a demo!

Do you provide MySQL databases with all plans?

Yes, we do. You can view the details of your database by logging into our control panel here, clicking your server and then clicking 'MYSQL Database' under 'Advanced'.

How long does it take to setup my server after payment?

As soon as your payment is received our automated system creates your server immediately so you can start playing straight away!

What are your server specifications?

All our premium nodes run the following processors: E3 - 1240 v3, E3 - 1270 v3 and E3 - 1270 v6 with 1 Gb/s uplink and SSDs! Our budget nodes run Intel Xeon L5520 and E3-1270 v5 processors with 1Gb/s uplink and HDDs!

Where are your servers located?

We currently have two locations for premium: Phoenix, Arizona (West US) and London, UK (Western Europe) and three locations for budget: Seattle, Washington (West US), Lenoir, North Carolina (East US) and London, UK (Western Europe).

What are your test server IPs?

Do you provide DDoS protection?

Yes! The DDoS protection we provide is as follows:

Premium Plans:

Phoenix: 10Gb/s
London: 100Gb/s

Budget Plans:
Seattle: 20Gb/s
Lenoir: none
London: 100Gb/s

What is the difference between your Budget Hosting and Premium Hosting?

Summary: Premium has more powerful CPUs, less servers per server box and SSDs compared to HDDs used for budget plans.

The main difference between our Budget Hosting and Premium Hosting plans is the processor and storage we use. For our Premium Plans we use E3 - 1240v3, E3 - 1270v2 and E3 - 1270v3 processors with 1Gb/s uplink and SSDs whereas with our Budget Plans we use Intel Xeon L5520 and Intel Xeon E3-1270v5 processors with 1Gb/s uplink and HDDs. Our Premium nodes are less crowded and under less load whereas our Budget nodes would be under more load as we fit more servers onto them. Premium plans also include free webhosting on all RAM plans and free dedicated IPs if you order 4GB RAM or more, Budget plans do not offer these features for free.

Our Budget Hosting plans are suitable for small to medium sized servers and our Premium Hosting plans are suitable for medium to large sized servers.

Am I able to add and remove plugins myself?

Of course you can! We provide full FTP access for all our servers so you can add and remove plugins to your liking. You can access FTP by logging into our control panel here, clicking on files and then FTP File Access. We recommend using a FTP client such as Filezilla to connect to FTP.

Am I able to get a dedicated IP? (Port 25565)

Yes, for premium all our 4GB RAM and above packages include a dedicated IP! If you decide to choose a package below 4GB RAM then you can pick the Dedicated IP addon at the checkout for only $2.50! If you choose a budget server then you must pay $2.50 extra no matter which plan you get.

Will my server be up 24/7?

We have a 99.9% uptime guarantee*, if we go below this you will be compensated! *Applies to Premium plans only.

I've paid for my server but I've received no information about it, what do I do?

We are very sorry that this has happened to you. If you did not enter a valid email when registering then this will be why you received no information. If you did, please check your spam box. If you don't find it there then please check the billing centre's E-Mail tab. If you do not see anything there then please open a support ticket with the billing department.

I want to cancel my server, how do I do so?

If you would like to cancel your server then go to our billing centre and login then click on 'Services' -> 'My Services' -> Click on the relevant service -> 'Request Cancellation' under 'Actions' on the left hand side.
